Brian polishes his new platforms!
Due to the unfortunate departure of Phat Funk guitarist Mick, a new funkmeister is waiting in the wings.
Brian has stepped into Micks platforms to complete the Phat Funk rhythm section with his disco-funk guitar chops. With bags of experience with the highly successful 'Rubber Band' Disco outfit, Brian was the natural replacement for Micky.
Dramatic 'trouser-split' incident
Lead singer Steve was left with a bit of colour in his cheeks after a dramatic on-stage incident at The Brook.
Flustered Steve left the stage backwards after inadvertently splitting his trousers whilst bending over to grab his bottle of Double Diamond only minutes into the first set at the Brook in front of an audience of 300+.
Fortunately, the audience were none the wiser as the fuller figured lead singer majestically sailed through the rest of the set with only his slightly restrictive movements indicating that something had gone horribly wrong.
The incident tested Steve to the limit of his professionalism, leaving only a slightly dented ego in the dressing room afterwards.
Looking for a Pop-tastic DJ....
We are looking at exploding our Groovy Fabtastic gigs at “The brook” to a marathon circumnavigating handbag dance and flare strut.
To do this we are looking for a Disk Jockey to join us on stage and will keep the venue pumping until your Disco Fever is sated or until the bars are drunk dry of “Watneys Red” and “Babysham”.
If you think you have the outrageous personality, able to cope with Platforms, Afro’s, Glitter, Satin clothes, Tank Tops, Oxford Bags and Loons then this Happening is for you.
Keep checking our web site for progress to this Far Out idea and don’t let those memories of the Royal pier, Top Rank, Birds Nest and Fridays fade away.
Signed...The Lone Groover
